Sarah Myers

March 15, 2022 - 9 YEARS AGO I was arrested for the last time! I gave my heart to Jesus in a jail cell and He set me free from a 12 year IV drug addiction! He healed my heart from losing my mother, my father, my brother, my first son and my grandma before I was 23. He gave me a relationship back with my kids after 7 years of separation. EVERY YEAR HE FULFILLS MORE OF HIS PROMISES IN MY LIFE! This past year God brought the man into my life I would serve Him with! Today I am the Director and Founder of a recovery ministry and I have my family back and so much more! This is the life I dreamed about! With God all things are possible! If God can do it for me He can do it for anyone!

Amanda Litton

My name is Amanda. I am 39 years old, and I was born in Alexandria, La.  I was raised in church. I was taught right from wrong. I searched for this love and acceptance from the things this world had to offer, which took me down a hard, long road that filled me with bitterness, anger and un-forgiveness. These became the driving forces behind every decision I made. All of this led me to losing custody of my three older children, living out of my vehicle and manipulating everyone I came into contact with in order to support my IV meth addiction. In June of 2015, I walked through the doors of LAATC and have never looked back.  My life has been transformed. In 2017, I was reunited with my children. Not only have I been delivered from drugs and alcohol, but I have been set free from the poisonous life-controlling diseases of anger, bitterness and un-forgiveness. I am experiencing a true love and acceptance in Jesus, like I’ve never known before. There have been many highs and lows over the last 6 ½ years--joyful seasons and then seasons of heartache and weeping, but one thing has remained the same, and that is the faithfulness of God. He has and continues to be my source for life.  This program gave me a safe place to heal and the life application skills needed to live in freedom from addiction.

Justin Batterton

After 12 years of addiction and two felonies, I knew something had to change. In 2007 I entered Teen Challenge lost and hopeless. In the past I had tried to do it on my own and was never successful. After a year in Teen Challenge I now not only have hope, but I have  new life as well. After completing Teen Challenge, God allowed me to stay on as staff for season.

Today, Justin is a successful real estate agent with a beautiful wife and 2 children.

Lauren Martin

Lauren was raised in a Christian home yet by the age of 15 she was consumed with fear, anxiety, peer pressure and sinful choices which led her to using antidepressants, marijuana, and alcohol. By age 19, after being involved in a car wreck and being charged with a DUI, her parents gave her an ultimatum that she enter Teen Challenge. Through Biblical teaching, wise counsel, and tough love, they patiently guided her back to her Heavenly Father who welcomed her with open arms. Currently, Lauren has moved back to her hometown and is living a successful life.
