We provide structured residential recovery through a multi-phase approach, allowing individuals to enter care at the level most appropriate to their clinical and personal needs. With licensed clinical staff, trained professionals, and mentors, our programs address the whole person: physical health, emotional stability, spiritual growth, and practical life skills. Services include inpatient detox and stabilization through Resurgence Recovery, as well as short-term and long-term residential recovery options.

Our Program Pathway
Louisiana Adult & Teen Challenge provides recovery through three residential care tracks. Each track leads into aftercare, and aftercare leads to graduation.
1Up to 30 Days
Short-Term Inpatient/Detox
For individuals with a clinical need for short-term inpatient care at Resurgence Recovery. Some clients complete short-term care only, while others continue into long-term treatment.
212 Months
Short-Term to Long-Term
Clients who begin in short-term care, then transfer into our traditional long-term residential program to continue their 12-month recovery journey.
312 Months
Long-Term Residential
Applicants who are eligible to enter long-term care directly may advance straight into our traditional long-term program. Our Long-Term Program has a proven 78% success rate.
Step 4 · Months 12 to 18
Aftercare Track
A 6-month phase after the 12-month residential program. Aftercare is optional, but it is required to successfully graduate from the program.

Graduation
Graduates who complete both the 12-month residential phase and aftercare take part in our official graduation ceremony.

Medication
Medication needs are reviewed individually by our medical staff at enrollment. Please call our admissions team with specific questions.
Are We a Good Fit?
Sometimes we are not. However, we will do our best to provide you with real resources to find somewhere that is. If a client is already enrolled, we work on an exit plan together to find another level of care.
Working With the Courts
We handle all legal coordination. Our legal case manager works with the courts on legal updates, court dates, Zoom hearings, and progress notes, advocating on the client’s behalf. We also partner with the 3rd Judicial Recovery Court.

Each phase builds on the one before it.

Stabilization
When there is a clinical need, care begins at Resurgence Recovery. This time counts toward the 12 months, and clients then transfer into Phase 1 of our traditional long-term program.

Long-Term Residential · 12 Months
Time spent in stabilization counts toward these 12 months. Clients work on the root causes of addiction through counseling, biblical studies, mentoring, and life skills.

Aftercare · 6 Months
Clients continue in one of two ways: a residential internship, with the possibility of future staff roles, or accountability as they return to the workforce and home and get plugged into a local church.

Our Long-Term Program includes in-depth biblical studies designed to support ongoing spiritual growth and life transformation.
Personal Studies for New Life in Christ (PSNL)
Small groups, mentoring, and counseling using studies like Preparing for Success, Breaking Free, Finding New Strength, Intimacy with Purpose, and Character Qualities Class.
Group Studies for New Life in Christ (GSNL)
Foundational biblical teaching for both new and mature believers. Topics include How Can I Know That I Am a Christian, Attitudes, Temptation, Successful Christian Living, Growing Through Failure, Obedience to God, Anger & Personal Rights, Love & Accepting Myself, Spirit Empowered, and more.

We are a Licensed Inpatient Residential Treatment Program through the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH). We are accredited by the Adult & Teen Challenge National Office and recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are also partnered with Bridges Christian College and the 3rd Judicial Recovery Court.
